Military and plane buffs were pretty bummed when they found out that the Charleston Air Force Base cancelled this year's Air Expo due to increasing commitments in Afghanistan. However, the Town of Mt. Pleasant and the City of Charleston have taken it upon themselves to co-sponsor a little air show of their own. Behold, the birth of the first Charleston Harbor Air Show, held April 17-18 at 2 p.m., featuring none other than the Blue Angels themselves. Spectators will get to witness some top notch flying with aerial swoops, loop-di-loops, and nearly touching wingtips while in tight, unwavering formation.
